About me
My mission is to provide human-computer interfaces and interactions that serve society at large by teaching and applying a human-centered design approach to create technological solutions. Therefore, my research interest falls into the area of human-computer interaction (HCI). Additionally, I am interested in creating interactive data visualizations and applying data mining techniques to offer the user meaningful collaborative and learning experiences.
My previous work includes:
- Network analysis for identifying prominent scholars in emerging fields by analyzing their publication content.
- Design and development of a web-based system for capturing anthropometric data in a census (Anthropometric Census for Diagnosing Child Malnourishment).
- Network analysis of Knowledge Management System usage in an enterprise environment.
- Creation of a design method to engage emerging professionals in devising mobile supports for explainers at STEM museums.
- Design and development of a tablet app to support museum educators in their interpretation tasks.
- Development of “A mile in my paws”, a full-body interactive computer-based zoo exhibit.
Teaching interest:
I like to teach project-based courses that allow me to inspire and challenge students to build meaningful software.
Other interests:
